HISTORY OF WOODEN HOUSES

Wooden houses, whether it is a barn, a house, a mansion or a cottage, have a different design, but they serve the same function – to protect a person from bad weather that rages outside the house. The history of the construction of wooden houses dates back even a couple of centuries, but several millennia – scientists have found out that several wooden buildings were located near the famous Stonehenge. And the oldest wooden structure is the Horyu-ji Buddhist temple located in Japan. It is already about 1400 years old. For example, in the territory of modern Norway, the history of the construction of wooden houses began more than 1000 years ago, and this is confirmed by the still-preserved church. Even the invention of new durable materials did not reduce the popularity of wood, it is still used for the construction of various structures.
